Consumer Fairs have been an important element in the marketing of Sri Lanka in the UK. Most consumer fairs are held in January - March when a large percentage of annual holidays are booked.
2007 saw Sri Lanka Tourism raise it profile in the way it presented itself. From simple stands with posters displayed in the past, a more professional approach was used using the material from WTM 2006.
Many other tourist boards do not dress up their stand as well. (see above)
